Dan Phelps has been a bike courier, coat checker, children's entertainer, buser, wedding videographer, janitor, posterer, mailroom dude, envelope stuffer, cook, veggie hotdog representative, cemetery groundskeeper, treeplanter, aviation groundsperson, oilfield labourer, and is the originator of the "Augermen's Union" handshake.

He currently resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Project Herbivore cartoons have appeared in The Winnipeg Free Press, The Southeast Journal, The Carillon, The Grind and Canadian Chiropractor.

Dan is a member of the Association of  Canadian Editorial Cartoonists.
